As parents, we all want the best for our children—to see them grow into successful, well-rounded individuals who confidently pursue their dreams. However, in our eagerness to prepare them for the future, we sometimes forget that they are still children. Learning shouldn't feel like a task or chore—it should be an exciting and enriching experience.

That’s why Expansion Core was created. We designed a learning center where kids can be kids while discovering the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering, math, and robotics through engaging activities and hands-on experiments.

Just as the body needs exercise to stay strong, the mind needs regular stimulation and challenges to reach its full potential. Our program nurtures curiosity and creativity, helping children understand that learning can be fun, inspiring, and a lifelong adventure.

Join us in shaping the innovators of tomorrow—because every great mind starts with a spark of curiosity!

Our Mission

To be the premier STEM Education incubator by identifying, cultivating, and unlocking the potential of young minds becoming future innovators of our society.

THE IMPORTANCE OF STEM

The United States is facing challenges in maintaining its competitive edge in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields compared to other nations. Key factors contributing to this issue include:

1️⃣ Educational Performance Gaps

  • International Assessments: U.S. students often rank behind peers from countries like China, Singapore, and South Korea in mathematics and science proficiency. laort.edu

2️⃣ Workforce Shortages and Skill Gaps

  • Projected Job Openings: The U.S. is expected to have about 3.5 million STEM job openings by 2025, but up to 2 million may go unfilled due to skill gaps. Code Wizards HQ

  • Foreign-Born Talent: In 2021, 19% of the U.S. STEM workforce was born abroad, highlighting reliance on international talent to fill critical roles. American Institute of Physics

3️⃣ Investment Disparities in STEM Education

  • Global Comparisons: Countries like China and Germany have made significant investments in STEM education, leading to a higher output of engineering and technology graduates compared to the U.S.

4️⃣ Gender and Diversity Gaps

  • Underrepresentation: Women and minorities remain underrepresented in STEM fields within the U.S., limiting diversity and innovation in the workforce.

5️⃣ Declining Interest and Proficiency in STEM

  • Adult Competency: Assessments reveal that U.S. adults lag in practical skills like numeracy and problem-solving compared to other industrialized nations, indicating long-term challenges in STEM proficiency. The Wall Street Journal

Your child’s success is our mission!

Our curriculum is meticulously designed to align with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and New York State Math Core, ensuring a comprehensive, high-quality STEM education that builds essential skills for future success.

Our Process

1 - Trial class designed to evaluate and assess your child's cognitive thinking, motor skills, and academic abilities.

2 - Children will be placed in a class based on their skill level and will progress to higher levels as they advance.

3 - Parents have access to their child's personal folder, where they can view progress reports and completed work.

4 - Each month, children will participate in a challenge project, providing an opportunity to showcase their knowledge on the topic.

5 - Certificates and awards presentations for each completed level.

6 - After completing Level 3, recommendations will be made to determine if the child qualifies for competition events.
